Randy McStine's Lo-Fi Resistance - Chalk Lines- Randy is a "first-call" guitarist, bassist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. He has performed across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, both as a solo artist, and as a sideman. This is his band's Lo-Fi Resistance "breakthrough" full length album, featuring guest artists Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief) on drums, Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) on bass, Dug Pinnick (Brand X) on bass, Jon Giblin (Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins) on bass, John Wesley (Porcupine Tree, Sound of Contact) on guitar, Dave Kerzner (Sound of Contact, In Continuum) on piano/keys, and Joe Deninzon (Stratospheerius) on electric violin. Like most everyone else, you will probably love the experience of Randy's soaring vocals and fantastic arrangements. This album alone is almost worth $17.
- Oblivion Sun - The High Places - Legendary band "Happy the Man" alumni Frank Wyatt (piano/keys/winds) and Stanley Whitaker (guitar/vocals) put together this second studio outing with the help of Bill-Bruford-clone Bill Brasso, plus Berklee College alumnus David Hughes on bass. Stanley's vocals are reminiscent of Peter Gabriel, the songs and arrangements are beautiful and sophisticated, and the musicianship is world-class. These songs will truly warm your heart, including the six-part, 22-minute epic closer.

Cell15 - Chapter One - After spending years in the undercover Pennsylvania cult-band Hybrid Ice, writing hits for bands such as Boston, and after spending some time in prison, Robert "Bob" Richardson decided to "come out" from hiding in the "progressive rock" closet, and poured out a concept record about addiction, mistakes, and having the courage to change your life. This record has been described as "Pink Floyd meets Spock's Beard", and has gotten rave reviews worldwide. Spock's Beard lead vocalist Ted Leonard said, "I don't like listening to other people's music very much, and I can't stop listening to this album! It's great!"

Neil Alexander & NAIL - Bent - one of the best keyboard players you may not know about, but you should! Imagine a combination of Joe Zawinul (Weather Report), Jan Hammer (Mahavishnu Orchestra), and King Crimson's Robert Fripp playing a keyboard, and that's what Neil sounds like on this album. Drummer Scott Morehouse is just stupid good, right out of the Billy Cobham school. Guitarist Dan Johanson and bassist Keith Macksoud are also into the punk-meets-avante-garde-jazz kind of thing. If you love progressive rock and rock-driven jazz fusion, you'll love this album!
- Stanley Whitaker & Frank Wyatt - Pedal Giant Animals - With Stanley Whitaker's guitar and Peter-Gabriel-like vocals, and Frank Wyatt's piano and keyboards, from the opening notes of this album, you are in for a beautiful treat! Even though they have been in the "Happy the Man" and "Oblivion Sun" bands together, these guys formed a duo, so they could produce cinematic, orchestrated, beautiful, progressive music, that expands the boundaries of a traditional "band". Another amazing hidden gem that we've curated for you!
